I started painting portraits when I was in high school and have loved it ever since. I would ask the girls around me to sit still while we were in class and after the lesson I’d give them the drawing. The teachers must have thought my still models were their attentive students
After high school I trained in the Watts Atelier to get my portraits to a level I was happy with. I really wanted to get my skills to a place where I could capture the likeness of a person in a beautiful, designed way. It took a couple of years and countless paintings. I get such a thrill when I look back and realise how much closer I am towards this goal then ever.
Since becoming a full time artist I’ve helped dozens of clients commemorate and celebrate the people in their lives through my work. And I’d love to help even more people.
